Motivational thoughts to Stay Motivated

The secret to staying motivated: Motivational thoughts to keep you going

Motivation plays a major role in achieving goals and living a happy life each day. We must try to stay motivated through various ups and downs of life.

Realistically speaking, I cannot remain happy all the time. I usually follow a cycle of ups and downs in life, like a giant moving wheel. Sometimes I am at the top of the world, celebrating the joys but soon, I will be at the bottom of the roller coaster. The only way I can keep myself going each day then is to find a force from within. This force is powerful enough to wipe out the thoughts of obstacles and negative thoughts to put me back on the wonderful journey that life is. A self-assuring and life-insuring way of living is running on motivational thoughts. It brings wonders to many, just like it does to me.

You may also find your motivation plummeting or rising at different points in time. But it is important to keep motivation consistent to be capable and successful in life. Soulveda explores best motivational thoughts that keep us going at times high and low.

Inspiration does exist, but it must find you working.

The painter Pablo Picasso famously said, “Inspiration does exist, but it must find you working.” As one opens one’s mind, they find a powerful motive to go on – to stay healthy, to cherish the multiple joys of family relationships or to even walk in the lush green surroundings listening to chirping birds and enjoying nature.

Your motivation must see you acting on it every day and everywhere. A thought which is not powerful enough to pull you out of a limbo cannot be termed as motivation. You must act on what you aspire to achieve, just like a child goes on to pursue what delights him or her. For instance, if you wish to scale Mount Everest, start with climbing trees. This little act of yours will firmly establish you on the path of your goal. And who knows one dayyou may break your own records..

I have stood on a mountain of No’s for one Yes.

Like many of us, I also found it difficult to break the inertia of starting afresh. I cannot, or I should not attempt it for fear of failure is the usual refrain from within, typically crowded by the negative energy from the outside world. No is a big deterrent while inculcating the habit of imagining positive consequences for oneself.

American business tycoon Barbara Elaine Smith summed up this paradox by stating, “I have stood on a mountain of No’s for one Yes.” This motivational thought asks us to focus on the joys of completing a goal, deriving every little pleasure out of the accomplishment. A mountain may appear invincible but every step up makes one reach closer, sonot all the no’s are detrimental in nature.

So be prepared and cautious but try to focus on the positive consequences of your journey. Feel the waves of adrenaline take you towards a shore of a big YES.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress

One tends to often find themselves at  loggerheads with everything good in  life. A setback or a temporary failure tries to pull us out of the race by suggesting that this struggle is not worthy of the efforts being put. Motivation is a force that is constantly tested. As American socialist Frederick Douglass stated, “If there is no struggle, there is no progress.” Progressing ahead in life is the driving force that motivates us to move further ahead.

It is important to note that struggle is an integral part of moving ahead. Humans have survived many natural disasters and ecological dangers in pursuit of a better life. Today’s evolved society has developed on the painful struggles that many generations undertook and yet never gave up. So if you are struggling to get up early in the morning, try to keep getting up slightly earlier each day. Or if you keep getting distracted during your daily meditation, just keep practicing it regularly no matter how you feel. And do give yourself a pat on the back after completing a task as it shows that you are on the right path. Embrace the stumbling blocks and keep at it.

You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.

Sometimes, even if you have discovered your inspiration – by overcoming a plethora of objections and struggles, you may still find yourself lacking motivation. The best you can do then is to expand your horizon. American motivational speaker Zig Ziglar shared, ‘You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.’ Motivation always has a positive rub-off.

Try finding people, friends or socially deprived citizens who do not have resources to steer their life out of troubled waters. Talk to them, understand their predicaments and it just might ignite your own mind. Helping solve their puzzles of life or improving their standard of living will certainly give you a sense of joy along the way.

Helping others fills one’s heart with positivity and richness of thoughts. It also brings relief from the burden of not being able to do something alone. It opens the gateway to the previously unimaginable solutions in one’s mind. Helping others also gives us enough courage to face our problems in life and make them appear inconsequential. It is a win-win proposition in the journey of life.

Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.

To lead a meaningful life, motivation is the stepping stone one must use. I can personally vouch for several motivational thoughts that help me achieve a little everyday. I can actively pursue a good life holistically because of the message these thoughts lend.

One must learn to always keep that little fire burning inside, giving warmth that no one but you can feel. As long as you have that fire called motivation, you will never find yourself stopping at anything.

Winston Churchill once said, “Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.” Perhaps he was talking about motivation!
